I guess if I had to choose one thing that I love about this "back to school" time of year, it would be the feeling of fall that is in the air...and when fall is in the air...it means it's time to get back into the kitchen with the kids. This is hard because I LOVE having them home in the summer! However I will say the best parts of going back to school is seeing the excitement on the kids faces when they learn or create something new. Or when they complete a project they are proud of. Or when they make a new friend.

September 14, 2009 - 10:17 pm denise - Love the look of the blog. My favorite thing about this time of year is...um, not sure. I love the Fall for the weather and for the fact that Halloween is just around the corner. I also love the first day of school pictures in front of the house and seeing my kids in their new school clothes after spending a Summer in bathing suits. This year I loved seeing my little guys go to a new school with a brave face and coming home to tell me that it was a great day.

What I love most about this "Back to School" time is that I have a little more time for myself during the day to get what I need to done, so that I can enjoy the kids more when they get home from school and have the time to spend with each one of them and to help them with what they need after a moring and afternoon apart. It's always nice to come back together!!!

I love back to school - look at the changes in the weather and the leaves - a little less HOT today - that was nice. Why I love this "back to school" time of year is because we definitely get more things done because we are on a schedule again. We get closets, cupboards and generally the whole house cleaned out and we are much more organized. I would LOVE to win a children's session with you-the last professional shoot was for our 10 year anniversary and in November it will be our 20 year. Wesley wasn't even born yet and now he's 7-eek, that's sad!

I love the fresh start of a new school year with a new teacher, new school clothes, new shoes (that are actually white for one day before they hit the black top!) and the many other things that are new and exciting. I love walking down to school the first day with all the anticipation of what this new school year is going to hold.

My favorite thing about fall is all the smells, I love cinnamon, pumpkin, soups, fresh baked breads, pies, and all the yummy delights of the season. What I love/ hate about back to school is not being in the classroom teaching. I miss it like CRAZY!! I miss the new middle schoolers learning how to open their lockers and the excitement/ fear on their little faces. I get excited seeing all the school supplies. I know- total DORK. What I love about my little guy going to preschool is the fact that he wears a hat EVERY day to school so he doesn't have to do his hair- ugh!!

With 5 kids it seems like someone is always changing schools. This year it happened to be 3 (college, high school, middle school). I love new beginnings! The new blog is AWESOME!!

September 20, 2009 - 8:22 pm Heather Doyle - Sandi- Your photos always take my breath away! I love that you titled your blog "Capture Your Fairytales." Everytime I look at your pictures that is exactly what I see..a perfect fairytale. Okay, so what do I like most about Fall? Besides the obvious of weather and holidays, I would have to say the sports. I love going to my kids games on Saturdays and just watching them play. The air (usually) is crisp, all the parents are clicking away at their children with their cameras and the sense of community is so present. It's a great reminder for me of the joy of being a parent!

I love the personal time that I get a few hours each day but I don't look forward to the homework load that the kids have and the busy schedules that come with school time. I do however love the Fall season that comes with going back to school. There is nothing like the smell of baking cookies and breads and the feel of cool,crisp air.
