Share the Love…My Annual Valentines Photo Shoot Giveaway!

valpicsThat’s right, it’s that time again.  But this year there is a twist!

You can’t enter yourself!  You must enter someone you love!

Get ready to share the love people.

Enter your friends, your family members, perhaps someone who has simply done a good deed.

The rules:

You can nominate more than one person but you may not nominate more then one person per household.

Teenagers may enter, so enter your friends, your Mom or your favorite teacher.

Be creative people!  I want to hear why these people are so wonderful!

After you nominate someone, please send them an email letting them know that you have entered them!

Ahhh, it will make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Leave a comment on this blog below.  State their name and why you love them.  Why are they so wonderful?  Why do they deserve to win?

What do they win?

A Free Photo Shoot with me.  I will also give them all the edited and enhanced digital files.  That is big.

The winner can choose to have others in the photo shoot as well.  (Like their family, hubby, etc)

Did I cover everything?  Oh, the winner will be announced on Valentine’s Day.  So this post will remain my post for the week.  Return back to read all the nice comments from everyone.  I think I will have to add some more funny photos of Piper and Max from this photo shoot during the week.  They were a riot.

February 7, 2010 - 2:36 pm Danielle Jones - I nominate my husband Ryan. Six weeks ago I had an unexpected health crisis. Ryan took two weeks off of work and took care of the kids. Most importantly he attended to me night and day. I required over 30 pills a day, oxygen, dressing changes,etc. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He was exhausted, but never complained. Infact he showed so much love that it reminded me all over again why I fell in love with him 21 years ago!

February 7, 2010 - 4:45 pm Julie Barber - I am entering my friend, Jenny Tucker. She just had her 3rd baby about 2 weeks ago. She had to have an emergency C-section after hours of labor. Jenny is the most generous, kind and giving friend I have ever had. She is always thinking of others and how she can help them. This photo shoot would be awesome for her to have with the baby alone or with all 3 kids. She would love it!!

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge – “We Love Kisses!”

Love is in the air.  This week the challenge is “We love Kisses!”  So I just had to enter this image of Max and Piper.  They were a riot .  Hope you feel the love.  The funniest part was after they kissed they both went “eeeeew and wiped their faces.”  Kids are the best.

I have to admit, most of my clients are children.  So it was so fun to get to photograph Andrea.  I didn’t have to bribe her with treats or jump up and down or make goofy faces at all.  Actually, as you can see she is simply gorgeous so it was so easy to get stunning images.  It was so fun to meet both she and her hubby.  Hope you love this sneak peek.  There will be more to come.

February 4, 2010 - 4:22 pm audra bender - wow...gorgeous is right! my goodness. she is a beauty, i love all of them. i love the lantern too in the last one. :-) very beautiful preview. sandi--what lens do you use on the close up/tight shots? i am loving them. i am a canon 5d, 50 mm 1.2 L girl, and i can't get those tight shots with that fav lens, i have been trying with my 24-70mm but i just love your closeness and crispness. gorgeous!

* Theses are some of the images from our fun family adventure shoot we did on the last day of 2009.  It was so much fun.  I have a couple of projects in mind for the images but I just couldn’t help but share some of them here today.  I know, I should probably grow up and stop playing dress up, but what’s the fun in that?  I do have to thank my kids for always being willing to dress up and pose according to my crazy ideas.  But most of all I have to thank my wonderful husband that goes along and helps put kids in trees. It was a fun day.   I am not quite sure Fairytale Friday can be every Friday but it was a catchy phrase for a post title.  But you never know, maybe I will just have to try.  Could be fun.

I have had many requests for the best syrup recipe ever!  So I have decided to post it!  Lucky you.

My Disclaimer:  It isn’t actually my recipe.  I got it from my wonderful and delightful sister-in-law Jayme.  It came from her fam.  It is so yummy, I hope it is ok that I am sharing it with the world!  But it is just too good not to share.

Warning:  If you make it for your family your kids just might ask for it every morning.

Without further ado here is the recipe for…

White Syrup

1 cube butter

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 tsp vanilla

Boil all that, then take off heat

Add 1 and half teaspoons Baking soda.  It will bubble up.  Serve Warm.

I highly recommend serving this with pancakes, waffles or french toast.  Add berries for a real treat!  For the best French toast recipe ever you have got to make the Barefoot Contessa’s French toast.  Yum, this french toast with the white syrup with berries is out of this world.  So go to the store and buy your buttermilk and make your family a wonderful breakfast tomorrow!
